My epic ride to camp on Saturday was pulled due to weather, so we did an alternative loop instead.
There were hills (2500m worth), land slips, new tracks, closed tracks, rocky AF tracks and road sections. A good day out.

That isn't the back of Nationwide in Swindon.

The Ochils felt like Spain yesterday.

Beinn a’ Bhùird via Slugan yesterday for me.
It was very hot, t-shirt on the summit and I drank 6 bottles of water in 4 1/2 hours (I would normally drink a couple of bottles)
The climb up to the summit was very hard as the trail was so dry it had become very loose, which also made the descent a bit sketchy 😀

The climb to Slugan. Lochnagar in the background.
Up towards Slugan

The top of the hill, almost.

The descent. Lochnagar in the distance.
Looking down the descent

On the plateau.

Had a good run of 11 days and 11 rides.
Not many pictures though.
Planned on getting some shots on Saturday but the ride was cut a little short after Mrsstu stacked it and hurt her hand.

Three different hill tops from Fridays ride.

Wye Valley route from the mag a couple of issues ago. With a few extras. And the odd wrong turn despite having the route on three different devices 🙂

Didn't take many pics but it's a really good route. Lots to see, great views off the top and some fantastic dusty descents. Only 30 mins from home but a bit different to the rest to the FoD. We''ll be back!

Much needed cold beer(s) at the Boat once we'd finished

Was at BPW on Friday (a massive thanks to whoever handed in my Camelbak! Yes, I am a moron).
The dust was ridiculous. Never seen, or felt, Wales so dry and hot!

Only riding I managed over the weekend was social(ish) Friday evening on the local hill. Got lucky with the views/sunset/general epicness. Hot 'n sunny, we watched the sunset from the summit, treated to a 'cloudbow' as it dipped behind the distant Ben Lomond, and watched as the sea haar rolled in along the hillfoots, slowly creeping up the hill to meet us as we descended.

Even an unplanned 'fettle' halfway down to fix my rear brake was a bonus as it was a perfect photo spot:

Yair on Saturday morning then the golfie on Sunday, still can’t get over how good that place is. There was a crazy cloud inversion on Saturday at Yair too!

Bruised ribs for me today after a high speed crash at Leogang. No riding shots but here’s one from a local bar looking over our village towards the sunset.

As ever some amazing pics here, esp like @a11y ‘s ones of that sunset! Mine isn’t strictly the weekend as it was last Thursday, but was on my holiday in Pembrokeshire so that counts for me! A ride over the Preselis on a hot and dry morning in Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
