Did the piston on my front mono mini, tempted to do the rear.
Il be honest though there isn't much difference that I can tell, can you?
The pistons that came out feel just like the phenolic so I am undecided, what do you people think?

I thought all Mono Minis had phenolic pistons.

well the pistons in my old minis were ally so the phenolic ones were noticeably different

the difference was noticeable on big old descents that wouldve boiled them before hand

maybe the monos came with phenolic already?

Its a really clear difference if you've got and alu piston and a phenolic piston side by side.

Phenolic pistons are a blackish colour....

The older ones are metal......

You can tell them appart easily, even without removing them from the bike.
