Evening all. I’ve just bought a new cheap cube frame for my lad from bike discount as he is outgrowing the current one. I intend to transfer all the components from the old to the new, but this one has a PF bb92 BB and the current one is BSA threaded, in which I use a Shimano square taper bb and 152mm cranks, which I’d like to keep. Can I use one of the adapters (eg sram, FSA) in the PF bb shell to continue using the square taper bb?

Stealth ad- 14” cube hardtail frame will be available late January, all going well.....

Cheers!
(Edited, bb92, not pf30

After a bit of digging, it seems converters are available for pf30 but more difficult to track down for bb92- there is This On eBay?

Never seen one, but they may be out there - effectively it’s a 41mm dia bush with a 35mm thread, so not a lot of metal/easy to distort when installing

Can’t see how that’s going to work without milling 19mm off your BB shell. It’ll convert the BB bore to being the right diameter and thread to fit a BSA BB, but the shell will be way too wide. Also - two independent sections means that the Bb you thread into it will be both unstable and a pain in the ass to remove.

Better just to fit the right BB and chainset.
