[short & concise] I need a complete BB, not bearings a complete new BB, and tools/adapter to fit it, please recommend one [/short & concise]

[long rambling & shouty]
Why? To replace the shit E-13 one I already have.... no you say, just get some new 6808 bearings & fit em. No I reply, the stupid ****s have used a 41x31x7mm bearing (6808 are 42x30x7), so I can't even get a 6808 into my current shell (which until today had been my plan). That's 2x BB's in 10 months I've worn out, so don't suggest using another £45 E-13 one. I took the old bearings out, the actual ball bearing's inside them are 2.75mm, yes less than 3mm, they make HT II's look stupidly big!
<and breath>So I need a complete PF30 BB, any suggestions... gunna be replacing the E-13 (single ring) cranks with some SRAM (triple) I've bought, so SRAM seems sensible, but I'm open to suggestions.
Especially a BB that will allow me to change the bearings next time. Damn I'm gunna need another tool too, aren't I?
EDIT: Even worse is the fact I just ordered load of kit from CRC, so could have gotten a replacement with discount...grrr [/long rambling & shouty]
I've been running a sram one on my Spearfish and you can replace the bearings in it. Think my last set cost less than a tenner for Saturday bearings from the local suppliers.
Cool many thanks, actually just hassled an engineer m8, to see if he can mill out the extra 1mm on the BB I have.. So maybe I can get away with just the bearings.
... and breathe 😉 To avoid any problems with PF BB30 bottom brackets I've done the following - bought a set of GXP SRAM X9 cranks from Merlin (reduced to £75) and a SRAM converter from CRC so the GXP BB will fit. This means I have a much greater choice of BBs, and for me meant I could run a lighter single ring once I'd removed the spider.
I know Trusty, but I stupidly assumed I could just replace the bearing in my PF30 BB with 6808's for pennies... so already bought another BB30 chainset, a (x7) triple as I want more rings than my current single ring E-13 setup allows
Hense my post on your thread, as your spider would have allowed me to go for some lovely BB30 X9 cranks and fit normal BCD chainrings
It may just be my m8 can help me resolve this will a little milling, fingers crossed and a little less angry now (just hope my wobbly BB lasts tomorrows ride)
I've got the Wheels Manufacturing one with the basic (non ceramic) bearings, seems much sturdier than the SRAM nylon/plastic cups (maybe a few g's heavier). It's pretty much identical to the SRAM one apart from the material, and the bearings look removable but I've never tried. No complaints with it so far. ( http://wheelsmfg.com/products/bottom-brackets-front-drivetrain/bottom-bracket-shells.html) They use standard 6806 bearings.
I used the Park Tools BBT-30.3 to tap (smash) out the old SRAM BB, and fit the new one (combined with a home-made headset press). Sadly I don't think you can use the same tool to tap out the bearings, of course you'll probably need a new tool for that!
Worth noting that there's an old version and new version of the BBT-30.3. You'll need the new one that is comes with a three-stepped guide for the PF30. The three step guide looks like this:

I emailed hope a while ago asking if they had made a PF30 BB yet, they said no - but they were working on it! <watch this sapce!>
That YouTube vid I linked you to a while back was replacing the bearings on a SRAM PF30 BB. Looks simple enough to do (with the right tools).
I'll be in the same boat as you now anyway mate as just ordered my new frame and a SRAM PF30 BB to go in it. I can live with replacing just the bearings every few months at a few quid each, but if it needs a new BB each time then it will get expensive!
If anybody has a link to a relatively inexpensive tool for removing these bearings please feel free to post it, thanks in advance 🙂

A Punch is fine. Doesn't matter if you damage the old bearings whilst removing them anyway. It's the new ones you want to be careful with.
Once the Sram unit is out of the frame it's relatively simple to knock the old bearings out with a suitable sized socket and then I used the old bearing to press the new one in
^ Thanks mboy. I guess my concern is with using a punch is that I may damage the BB shell as there really isn't much of great deal of a lip between the bearing and the bb shell, and it's pretty dark down there, and I am pretty clumsy... 😳
Do we need to guess what your new frame wil be mboy, or have you caved & gone for the kenesis? A quick glance says the sync uses PF30.. So I guess it is..
Do Hope not do one?

You need to guess? And the suggestion that I have "caved"... 😆

How about a gusset one? Been running one in my spearfish for 4 months so far.
