I don't want it, but a mate wants hack bike. Probably 20 years old.

No functioning bike should ever end up at the tip! Give it to your mate for his hack.

It's not mine it's an acquaintance of friend who wants to part with it, but they think it's valuable 😯

If it were mine he would have for nowt.

Whats it worth £10 ? or free just to take it away ?

Tyres may be worth something, otherwise £20 tops imo.

Why would you skip/tip it? A few new cables etc and its a good form of transport.

I know on here we are now all on carbon four grand mountain bikes and we sniff down at such bikes but in France I bet you a tenner you'll see a few of them still rolling around.

It's a nice bike (of it's time) - would definitely make a nice hack when tidied up. 531(?) frame, LX, M231CD rims etc. But conditions means it's probably not valuable to the retro "must-be-NOS" crowd.

£50 tops, less if anything's in less-than-working nick.

Oh and 50 quid because you will not find a better quality bike for less than that! If it's in reasonable nick that bike will go for years more.

If it was worth anything it'd look more like this:

Whereas it's almost certainly more like this one:

Like I said - 50 quid 😉
