Any recommendations - looking for cover for guided rides abroad, misc events, Megavalanche etc etc

Dogtag.

Just got one year's cover, 62 days max per trip, Snow cover and all MTB disciplines inc racing.

Always used pj hayman under their various guises always been the cheapest option and level of cover is good. Used dog tag for one ski trip and it wasn't that much more expensive for a week for a similar level of cover but for an annual policy I'm paying about 1/2 what Dogtag quoted. Dogtag do give you the cool dog tags though!

Direct through pj hayman adventures or speak to Darren at Pedal cover who brokers it if you want some decent advice.

Look at annual policies, generally good value if your away a bit. also with all insurance read the docs to make sure your happy with the cover/risk
