Just taken a ride over to Pembury from my birds house who lives nearby. Can't find them. Does anybody know where they are?

Pembury Tunbridge Wells? No jumps there as far as I know - you’re not confusing it with Penshurst are you?

I'd heard there is/was some trails in the woods next to the A228 bypass, and looking on strava there's been rides logged there this month, so...

I'd suggest going for an explore with strava open!

Have often wondered what riding is in that big spread of woods near the hospital and along the A21. OP you have you mission 😉

This even has a picture - https://www.strava.com/activities/1645334837#41218430780

Seems to be a group called “Grinning Lines” (look up on Facebook) who built much of it.

Grew up in the village, riding in those woods on a rigid 26er but not been for ages. There’s hardly any rights of way (think one footpath on each side of the bypass) but trails all over the place on both sides.

Eridge? Went there years ago, private land but massive jumps.

Thanks for that. Looking at Google Maps satellite view and the Strava it looks like I need to turn into a path just after the Texaco garage and head towards Marshleyharbour Wood.

I shall head that way next weekend.

I wouldn’t bother at the moment. In winter everything is covered in leaves, slippery as hell and the little woodwork bridges etc are like ice. All the low lying areas are bog too.
In summer it’s ok for a quick nosey but it’s on a pretty small scale. There was some bigger stuff being built but it got flattened.
The woods in this area contain nature reserves so it’s pretty sensitive area.
Personally I think it’s best left for the local kids who I know enjoy it.
