A lot of you will know this road.
The Council is consulting on permanently reducing speed limit from NSL to 40mph
Quite unbelievably, some local objectors are lobbying that the current temporary reduction is causing people to drive faster. The mind boggles
Anyway, if you have ridden Inners and park in the car park, you have crossed this road. If you have cycled road loops in the area, there is good chance you have used this one.
Please feel free to offer views on the very simple consultation

Some people have been known to send more than one response. Obviously not condoning that....
Is this the B7062 you're talking about ?
If it is, then there's no great need to reduce the limit. It's drivers being considerate that is the issue whether they are doing 30 or 60.
Speeding isn't an issue, it's driving too fast for the situation that's the issue, under or over the speed limit is moot.
Done.
The campaign is to re-increase to 60 to slow people down! There is no actual evidence behind this apart from anecdotal reports from people who supposedly live on the road. I've literally never heard of locals arguing for an increase in the speed limit before?!

Yep, it is, not certain if that number runs all the way to Peel but the full length of road is included in this.
I don't disagree with what you are saying but a lower speed limit can only ever be a good thing. The main complaint I have is that returning to NSL benefits no-one except the car driver. This is one road where I do not think cars should be viewed as primary user whose rights, and views, come first.

It's nuts isn't it, totally nuts.
In reality the road needs to be 20mph, unfortunately that will not happen as it's not a built up area.
As someone who cycles on that road I’ve just filled it out. Cheers for highlighting it.
Interestingly there is evidence that raising inappropriate speed limits reduces speeds! counterintuative I know but it has been demonstrated.
