Levelling up the Q factor on my E conversion. A cheapo pedal extender on the left side has done that.
Now that I know it works I need a quality one that I can trust.

Are there proven good ones?

I'm sure there are plenty of badly made ones out there, but they are a very simple design and as long as they are made out of decent quality steel by a moderately skilled machinist, I can't see that one brand would be stronger than any other. There is quite a lot of leverage on a small piece of metal so they are never going to be suitable for any sort of extreme riding. Personally, I would not use them on any bike.

I'd rather look for pedals with longer axles. Do they exist?

Are you using clips or flats?

I'm sure they're fine on road bikes

as sharkattack says, maybe look for longer spindles

It's my shopping bike so bumping kerbs is as extreme as it gets.

I've looked and can't find flats that are 20mm wider .
