I've got quite a lot of decent stuff that I keep meaning to put on eBay.

Does stuff fetch reasonable prices or do people expect it to be some sort of charity give away?

Bit of both. Always been happy with what we have bought and sold.

Always mark stuff up with a price and then have a couple of bargain boxes at fixed prices

Its in South Yorkshire so a bit of bartering is expected.

Its surprising how much stuff gets accumulated at the back of the garage in a year.

Judging by this thread, and the one last year, there doesn't seem to be too much interest.

It's been heaving every year since it started. So much so that they had to move it to a bigger venue with more parking facilities. A lot more people ride bikes than visit this forum 😉

I'm going. It's been utterly rammed for each of the past three years.

Won't be buying advanced tickets though - they get you in an hour early, right?

There were some for sale last year. Mostly second hand ones. We sold a mtb unicycle.

What are you looking for

Not long now. All packed up. Loads of roadside advertising all over South Yorkshire. Hope it's as good as last year

Just got back. Been rushed of my foot from start to finish. Probably the best that we have been to for selling. Went with the van full and came back with it nearly empty. Most of our stuff we were selling for between £1 and £10. The stuff that gets put to the back of the garage because it's not worth posting.

Just counted the cash and I'm amazed at how much we finished up with.

Anyone else had a good time.

Didn't bother going as there were no details of what retailers were going to be there - I'm not spending £10 on a ticket without knowing who was going to be there.

I'm sure there were some great bargains and if entrance was free or a few quid I might have driven over, but £10 without knowing if it's just a lot of people selling stuff that gets put to the back of the shed (that I'm unlikely to want) makes it not worth the effort.  Went out and mucked about on the bike afte the rain stopped instead!

Glad you had a good day, made some cash and other others got what they wanted - and all environmentally friendly to boot!

Si

It was packed with folk who brought plenty of cash, we sold lots and bought a bit. A minutes silence was also observed - it was like a scene from a film with a hall full of people stood silently.

Shame that the organisers didn't want to tell anyone who was going ot be there.

I didn't expect an exhaustive list, but they must have known a lot of who was attending.  I doubt I'm the only one that was (is) reluctant to hand over 10 quid with no gaurantee it would have a decent selection of retailers.  Or maybe I am and everyone else is just happy that it's got Peaty's name on the banner.

My loss, I'm sure.

Most of the list was on the Facebook page as they were signing up for it.

And if they'd told me (or others who asked) that, then that would have been great.  They didn't.

Llike I said, my loss. But I guess I saved money!

I had a good morning tyre hunting 🙂 the lads on the maxis stall seemed to be doing a brisk trade.

I bought a semi slick for next summer- always planing ahead and a brand-new butcher grid for £10.

That and a bum bag that I wouldn't pay full price for was my haul but I saw a few people wheeling bikes out and a lot of people carrying full face helmet boxes

Worth a £10 to have a nosey.

Last minute decision to drive up.

Picked up some possibly overpriced used XTR trail pedals and a Minion DH tyre for next year’s Alps trip.

Oh, and shook hands with Nigel Page who was behind a stall with a young girlie (daughter?).

immaculate 2 min silence too.

Tracey - what stall were you on?

On a corner oposite Expert Bikes and Loose Riders. Only had five minutes to look round before the doors opened and was still selling ten minutes after it closed.

Managed to get a couple of pairs of Five Tens from their stand, some bargain Royal shorts and a pair of gloves from 18 Bikes before it went mad.

Must have been some serious money been spent with some of the bikes that were been wheeled out.

Never seen as many tyres in one place. Everyone seemed to be buying them.
