In the past I have done a circular route starting from Bakewell, along Coombs road then cross the A6 through Haddon fields to Alport, into Youlgreave, over the river and up into Birchover but then I cannot for the life of me think where it go goes, looking at the map doesn't jog my memory at all, the most likely route is Clough lane from the map but doesn't look familiar. I do half remember riding up through/alongside a quarry
I know we ended up at Rowsley at one point then went over the hill to Edensor then back via the golf course.
It must have been in a guide book of some sort but not mine as someone else was leading the ride.
Does anyone know of a 'classic' way from Birchover to Rowsley not necessarily directly?
It'll be the youlgreave circuit from the v graphics white peak guide. 2 ticks I'll find a gps track
Doh, its the five dales loop

Thanks, I have the vg book and it looks like its a variation of it that I have done in the past, must have been clough lane that we took. Hadn't spotted that when looking through the book previously as definitely not the book we followed (something much older)
