Next week I'm planning a ride again in the Peak District. Have previously done a Ladybower loop that I found on the internet which was okay but abit tame for me, I'm sure there are better.
I mainly enjoy single track technical descents, I'm well aware there isn't much of that around the Peaks but any decent descent I'm happy with.

Anyone got any good routes with the best descents they are willing to share? Around the 20 mile ish mark.

Cavedale, Jacobs Ladder, both singletrack techy descents. Happy to throw a gpx together later for you if you email me

Best more technical bridleway descents near the Hope Valley in my opinion are:

Cave Dale
Two from Mam Tor towards Edale: Mam Nick to Greenlands, Hollins Cross to Back Tor Bridge
The Beast from Hope Cross
Jacob's Ladder
Bradwell Edge - very gloopy at the moment
Stanage Plantation
Drs Gate - very boggy at the mo I'd guess
Last part of Cut Gate towards Slippery Stones

Cave Dale and the Mam Tor descents can easily be linked up, and The Beast and Jacob's are close to those too.

Some video here of the two from Mam Tor here as they're hard to find online:

You'll find the others easy enough if you search on google.

The Beast from Hope Cross
Jacob's Ladder

+1 for these two. I've ridden both of them in the last few weeks and they were pretty dry. There'll be some snow there today though so that might have changed.

If you want some singletrack, it's not quite the peak district but Blacka Moor on the eastern moors has two nice descents. On this map they're the two bridelways to the south of the arrow. Both were pretty wet up top but dry lower down today. You can also link that up (sort of) with stanage bridleway, which is okish.
