I have some XTR trail pedals from many moons ago. The did many a hundred miles, then ended up in the spares bin.

Tool them out the other day thinking I'd give this spd thing another bash. Well, if you're familiar with these pedals, you'll be able to guess what happened within 3 minutes.

Of course warranty is long gone. SJS do axle kits for £40 per side but if I repair one, the other will go shortly. These are not worth £80 to make them reliable again given the price of new ones.

Any suggestions?

They are easy to service, takes about 5 mins per side.

alternatively buy of XTRs on ebay for £30. if they are scuffed and yours aren't just swap the pedal bodies over and sell the rough ones for spares etc. you'll probably get £20 for them.

EDIT: sorry, I guess you are suggesting that the spindle has snapped. In that case I would still suggest ebay pedals. cheaper than buying spindles
