Blimey! He's the PC shot by Raul Moat. What a bloke!
I've just listened to the interview with him on Victoria Derbyshire from his hospital bed where he's dealing with the knowledge he's lost his sight.
What an inspiration! Truly humbling. If you didn't hear it then listen to it on iplayer. It certainly puts things in perspective
Astonishing.
Seen the Sky one the other day on Anytime, it was very emotional but a very strong person as was his wife.

Hats off to them.
Caught it by chance - colleague was on shortly after talking about construction. Impressive and dignified interview. Should be on here later http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b007v5cz
The link will be on here when the programme is over in half an hour

Contrast this with the talksport interview with the absolutely brain-dead half-wit who posted the "Raul Moat - Legend" page on facebook
Careful binners. I was told to show some compassion here on STW when I referred to Mr Moat with a few choice names.
Next door neighbour knows David and was visiting him in hospital. Davids twin brother walked out just as he was going in and he said it really freaked him out.
Hope the guy inspires people and makes people think. These types of people are true heroes.
