I think I'm developing an unhealthy addiction to Strava route planner, whenever I'm bored or sat on the train or something I'll load it up and try plotting a new route somewhere.

It's now got to the stage that I've got more routes than I think I'll ever ride, but I'm looking forward to giving it a shot!

Anyway, not to be a dog in a manger I thought I'd share them all in some handy Komoot collections, which conveniently also scratches the incipient guidebook itch.

I think my tastes in gravel run towards the lumpier and more 'varied' surfaces, so take all of these with a pinch of salt. Robust feedback and/or criticism welcome 😎

And, just to prove I actually do occasionally ride, here's my progress to date.

Anyone got anything similar to share?

Only when I'm not on the road bike 😆

It's worth it, I've never before enjoyed the scale or quality of off-road riding that I'm enjoying now with my 'gravel' hat on, and most of it is barely any different from the stuff I loved riding in the Pentlands anyway 😎

The route then traverses five miles of marshland - I've not ridden this myself, but I think it won't be too bad. I've had a good look at the OS map, and Dave from the pub says he's heard it's OK.

Still looks good though! I hope to do a Scottish route from the sleeper train later this year, so will peruse.

There's a guy local to me who puts out very nice gravel guide books round the Peak / Cheshire area - sells them through amazon. Well set out with thoughtful routes and notes, looks like a fun hobby putting them together.

Yeah I know, sharing routes you haven't actually ridden is a bit lame, but I needed to do something with them other than have them moulder away on Strava. Plus I haven't commented on anything I haven't actually ridden 😉

Maybe I'll hide the ones that I KNOW have hike-a-bike until such time as I can ride them for myself...
