Bought a pair of their Landfarer shorts last year, in a sale, so "only" about 60 euro or so. Been really happy with them, comfortable, light, great fit, but after about a year of use, I ripped them in one of those moments when you slide an a root and end up halfway over the bars and impaled on your saddle in a heap.
Dropped an email to their repair service, and next day got a prepaid postage label and returns slip sent back to me - their service covers the repair, and shipping to and from. Will take a couple of weeks, but really great service.
i know the get a bit of patagucci snearing but i love my nanopuff thing. its by go to jacket but due to bike grease and general shabbyness its relegated to the confines of peebles where being bike manky is acceptable and dog walking.
They're excellent like that. I destroyed a pair of running shorts during an ultra marathon and I wrote to them asking if they could be repaired. they replaced them for free under their ironclad guarantee, no quibbles. Always been very impressed with their customer service. And I find their kit to be really good too.
I bought a nano puff jacket in 2014 and it became my 'go to' jacket for the next 7 years. I then caught it on a barbed wire fence, causing a few cuts across the front of the jacket.
Enquired through the Patagonia Repair Service about getting it repaired, but didn't really hold out much hope due to its age. However, they said send it in and we'll have a look. A few weeks later I got the jacket back fully repaired and free of charge. Can't fault that. 🙂
They recalled a T-shirt I bought because it turned out it was less sun-proof than originally advertised (I live in the UK, I didn't buy it because of its SPF!). Which is pretty crazy but it definitely seems like they are committed to great longevity / customer service and, in OP's case, sustainability.
Big fan of the R1 Techface Hoody. Not marketed at riders but bloody good bit of warmers kit.
Are your shorts long enough? I have some Patagonia stuff, but the inseam of the bike shorts as listed on their website is comically short.
I wear out all of my mtb shorts within 6 months and routinely get them replaced under warranty. It drives me mad that the materials don’t seem to be appropriate for the use and they don’t reinforce the bum and seams.
Endura's lovely people are fixing a busted seam on a pair of their baggies for me at the moment. Second thing I've asked them to repair - both bts of kit have been at least a decade old. I've aso happily paid Musto and Helly Hansen for repairs to a gore tex jacket and a drysuit respectively - both at a tiny fraction of the cost of replacement. It really is the way to go.
Yeah, they're ace! Wife's 7yo waterproof started to peel at the pocket, took it in to the shop, they'll post if back when it's fixed! Good stuff.
Their after sales support really is excellent, particularly their commitment to fixing old garments.

The Dirt Roamer is quite short, very much a minimalist short, I use them more for gravel stuff. Landfarer is longer, seems normal for MTB shorts. Think the Dirt Craft is the longer length also, those I don't have though.

maybe they could concentrate on making one size then you send them in to get them to fit?
There’s a brilliant story in Let My People Go Surfing by Yvon Chouinard, Patagonia CEO, about a customer sending a favourite pair of shorts back for repair. There was barely anything left of the shorts, multiple repairs on top of multiple repairs.
So Patagonia sent out a replacement pair, but the customer wanted their original shorts repaired instead. Shorts were long gone, old design and fit, so Patagonia got the original patterns out and made them a bespoke pair to the original spec, free of charge.
The moral of the story was that you give the customer what they want, not want the company thinks is the right course of action.
Endura have always been good with customer service, too.

Totally agree. They put a new zip in my Endura Jura jacket, which has to be at least 20 years old free of charge.
Ground Effect, on the other hand, told me to jog on when I asked if they could repair a pair of 3/4s AT MY EXPENSE after a crash.
I'm still waiting on a reply from Endura about whether they could fix my <1 year old trousers. They died after the seams wore through so it was really a defect rather than failure.
I nagged them on a monthly basis 3 times and then gave up. Took them to Alpkit and paid £20 for a great quality fix.
Score +5 for Alpkit and -10 for Endura.
