Looking for some help regarding a holiday destination this year please. I'm looking for somewhere with a good nightlife and good biking as well. The wife isn't a big biking fan and has only ever done the blue run at glentress a couple of times hence needs to be somewhere near a beach so she can chill out if I end up going biking by myself. The canaries is out I think as its July I'll be going and for my first biking holiday I don't want to be too hot. Don't want anywhere that will be too full of Neds and dough balls like those idiots in Kavos on the telly last night 😉

Sounds like us:-). Sun, sea and singletrack.
Stunning rides with plenty of bus uplift during the day & fun après-bike on the coast at night.

Try the italian riviera, we do trips but in July we will be in the mountains and Molini although lively I think gallo nero will get a bit boring for her.

try www.italybikehotels.com for 2 hotels in finale ligure (your wife will love it), hotel medusa is right by the beach and offer guides for mtb.

Finale has some tracks waymarked for DIY and also contact www.finalefreeride.com for shuttles and guides as well as other info.

florenz is also good, a converted convent and it has a pool....thats in finalborgo a walled medieval village just 1km from the beach.

Also I think finalefreeride have a list of available accommodation.

Sounds like the Basque coast! Partying in San Sebastian or Hondarribia, big beach and biking and pretty much brit-abroad free. At the start of July there's San Fermin in Pamplona, around 45mins away which is just about the biggest party I've ever seen. Or in the middle of July there's a massive free blues festival in Hondarribia which is a lot of fun! Sorry to jump in ahead of you Nasher, I hope you don't mind!

as an addition to Doug, BBK Live in Bilbao looks like it'll be good this year if you fancy a day or two of music thrown in...

The Canaries are unlikely to be as warm as Southern Spain in July, it rarely gets really hot.
The July avg. for Tenerife is 21 Vs 24 for the Costa del Sol
