It's residential, any reason not to use a car park? Back of the swimming pool or the long stay in town?

I've parked there several times no problems, wide road no restrictions never had aggro or so much as a scowl from residents.

It's fine, there's also "the heads" in town which seems mostly to be parking for the hotels.

Square it with your consience this way. The center of Keswick is heaving on a weekend, by parking in the long stay car parks in the center of town you're depriving the local businesses of the ability to sell XXL Regatta anoraks to tubby tourists, half a mile from the center it's deserted, as demonstrated by the ammount of free parking, it's even free on the road pst the youth hostel by the park ~200m from the town center! Use it as an excuse to call in the the bike shop on the way through town.

It's possible to park there right now but not for long - there are some new houses being built nearby and the road will soon be yellow lined. Your best bet would be to use the car park by the hospital. It's cheap and rarely full, and is a minute's ride from Spooney.

I often park there. It can fill up quick so it's best to get there early.

When we do the Borrowdale bash, we always park on the small industrial estate behind the pencil museum and by the river

Saw a sign by the rugby club (may be same car park as parkedtiger suggest) advertising all day for £3. I'll be using that from now on.
