So I’ve picked up a wheels manufacturing dub bb for bsa. Seems ok - can’t install it with any of the 3 tools I’ve got for screw in bb’s.
Seems I need a Park Tools bbt 27 or bbt 27.2. But they’re £40. For a bit tool ffs.
Anyone come across an ice toolz or similar alternative to this?
It’s a 16 notch BB but 48mm or something like that - the cups are huge. My dub or ht2 tools don’t even come close to being big enough.
Park BBT-29 does the same job for only £20 - I’d lend you a pair but I doubt you’re nearby
@dovebiker - I’ve seen that one but you can’t use it with a torque wrench or breaker bar. Just thinking of getting it torqued up correctly and then getting it off
The downside of Dub, it requires a 40 foot long breaker bar to fit and remove
I don’t tend to have an issue with the gxp or dub cranks in terms of undoing them. But when I fit them I usually use a good amount of copper anti seize grease on the splines / bolt thread and have a big breaker bar.
