I have £100 chain reaction voucher to use and need a work stand, is the Park PCS10 worth it over the 9? Is there £45 of difference really?

Going for the x-tools would mean I could buy other shiny things....

I have a PCS9 and I love it. Very sturdy even with my 33lb AM bike on it. I'd pay the extra for the 10 as I think it has a QR clamp IIRC which mine hasn't.
There will be plenty of people who will say a cheaper one is as good but Park stands are excellent quality and I think mine will last decades.

Used to 'borrow' the 9 from work when I needed to use one but don't have access anymore. Does the QR alter the height? Is the 9 fixed height? Cheers for the feedback

I have a PRS 20 which is fantastic and worth a look if you want to spend just a little bit more - it's very stable and as used by pro team mechanics - can't fault it.

If you have 15mm or 20mm bolt thru forks, you can get an adapter for it (I bought one as my cross bike has 15mm bolt thru, all my other bikes are qr)…. 😀

PCS9 = perfectly adequate, PCS10 = a few more bells & whistles, mind you had to get my 9 replaced under warranty because the weld failed on support clamp

The PCS 9 and 10 are very good if you have an uneven floor as they have 3 legs. My cellar floor is no good for the 4 legged/footed variety. Worth thinking about.
