I have a Co2 inflation thing for pumping up tubes. I have several spare cartridges however I keep wasting them as I try and load a new one and in the process discharge all the gas instantly. This really frustrating as I have tried all configurations of buttons and switches etc. I believe the manufacturer is Park and of course I have long lost the instructions!

If it is a Park one, you should be able to get the instructions off their website - what's the model number?
I'm pretty sure park don't do a CO2 inflator, they certainly haven't any time recently.
If it's blue anodised then it could be a weldtite one, they were that colour and a bugger to use, we'd to have one.
