I've enjoyed my Hans Dampf on the front and it will probably get me through Summer.

However, great though HDs are they do pack up a lot in the mud.

I've been thinking Panaracer swoops might be a better 3 seasons all rounder.

Can't be bothered with specialist mud tyres. Happy with the Nobby Nic on back.

Surrey Hills, hard-tail.

Alex

Before switching, and assuming you have them tubeless (EVO are stiff side-walled tubeless ready tyres) have you tried running ~18-22 psi (on the front)and 25-30 psi on the back? IME this makes then shed well enough to avoid the packing-up problem I noticed when I first ran them harder/tubed.

I've run softer over the winter to not much avail.

Ruinous in the North downs Wiggle event - to be fair most tyres would have struggled - but had OK grip with the NN on back.

Dampfs are amazing on dry woody trails. I basically want something similar, but with better mud-shedding. Not massively keen on High rollers and similar - I like an intermediate.

Have considered Rampages and Bronsons also.

Mountain Kings are a pretty similar tread pattern but wider-spaced. They seem to shed a bit better. Not as massively oversized though (think the rubber queen/trail king might be bigger?).
