Jeepers!

He's sprayed everything including cables, bolts and the like.

That's going to look lovely when it starts flaking off!

I can't work out if any of it was masked!?
The close-up of the rim makes it look like some effort was put in though:

It's been up for a few weeks. It's a bloody mess.
This is the sort of thing I did to my matchbox cars when I was 7

Just me or is the chain way too short?

So he's fitted a 42t ring and used the chain that was on the 30 whatever it was.

I'm appreciative of the fact that he put up a picture pre-rattle-can so you can see how nice it used to be

Only people like us used Testor modelling paints. Didn't we? 🙂

reminds me of one of rocket jr's associates who sprayed his bmx. The bits of wheel & tyre hidden by the fork/frame didn't get painted 🙂

Yep but if I was doing a "proper" job, it also got a primer /base coat of tip-ex 🙂

Used be to standard practice around here. Everyone riding expensive, American, custom BMX's with rattle can paintjobs. The nastier looking the better. Doesn't effect performance but makes it look much less desirable to sticky fingered street urchins.
