OK, I suppose I may start down that road by painting it onto some bibshorts, to see if that keeps the cold wind off the "gents" sufficiently but I suspect the more permanent solution (that surely many of you have taken on already) is the way forward in the longer term
so, initially then, has anyone ever coated their lycra* with anything similar, and did it work ?
Just buy some winter bibshorts 🙂
It's one way if making an excuse for that fishy smell
it's the winter bibshorts I'm going to paint
(I don't want full windproofing as the rest of me's usually toasty, so just the small (tiny after a long ride 🙁 ) bit up front
drop him in a sandwich bag
"sandwich bag" - dude ! ?

Cricket box
Little finger off a rubber glove?
Sudocrem.

Strip of ductape
Deep heat not sudocrem

Yacht varnish or two pack cable jointing resin ftw
1. Slice some red chili peppers,
2. Rub them into your hands,
3. Scratch your nads vigourously,
= warm for hours. Fact.
Vicks vaporub

What a bizarre thread.
What about a dollop of tallow, works for the sheep.
Couldn't bring myself to show an image as its to early in the morning

Merkin?
Surely if it's too cold for your knackers then it's time for bib longs or 3/4s? When it's really cold I wear bib longs with no pad and bib shorts with a pad underneath, provides enough of a barrier.
not really; my knees and shins are warm enough already (I even have some roubaix-ish shorts).Surely if it's too cold for your knackers then it's time for bib longs or 3/4s?
Assos know the score, even if their stated reason is surely some sort of weird euphemism - and their price is 😯 :
BlasenSchutz (bladderProtection) ASSOS first incorporated this feature with the s5 winter tights (2010). The frontpanel between the crotch area and the abdomen features ASSOS Stratagon win-dblock fabric. This ensures your bladder is not exposed to chill winds, which reducesthe need to urinate while riding.
Baggy shorts over the lycra?
Yes do it, it's a common secret trick in the pro peloton.
What do you think was in that mystery team sky package?
