Hi guys,
Bought some fox float forks off the bay, seems someone has lacquered the fork lowers and crown to make them a glossy black. It's a crap job and there are drip runs and dull spots, so i was hoping to get the lacquer off to reveal the standard finish underneath.
Does anyone know of something I can used to remove lacquer, that wont harm the original paint? Not sure how tough the fox paint is, but guessing its powdercoated? Does anyone know if something like thinners would attack the lacquer but not the paint?
Thanks for any help, Dan
anyone?
I doubt you'll get it off nicely without damaging the original finish. If they were not described as having been refinished then I would return them as not as described (as they aren't)
