I want to start to expand the riding my oldest daughter does (6 yrs old) to a few trail centres / fairly easy XC but given the spills she's had so far I think pads would be a good option.

I'm thinking of elbow and knee, and a full face helmet for the more downhill orientated places.

Any recommendations? She's fairly tall for her age but slim.

Buy something like fox launch elbows In the small youth size should work as knees.

Has anyone used the Fox Racing Peewee shin and elbow guards?

My 5 year old lad uses the Peewee stuff. Really good, nice and comfy, light but tough where it needs to be.

I bought separately but the full set shown here is what he uses for bmxing. Lots and lots of spills and always gets up wanting more...

gravitysucks - thanks for the info - looks like a good set.

I know if I brought my daughter home a little crumpled we'll both be in trouble!

Also have a look at the 661 youth range, my kids find them really good.
