I bought a couple of these off planet x for pretty cheap. Guys who built them up thought they didn't look particularly tubeless compatable, however a quick google says they might be.
Not an issue if not, but if they are i may give it a go.
Anyone done this successfully?
Yes they are tubeless ready and work very well. They are the equivalent of a crest, or at least an earlier crest.
Fine with me. Used Schwalbe S ones, WTB Nanos, Various WTB CX tyre on them.
The Nanos went on with 3 layers of Tesa tape and sealed perfectly with no sealant and only a decent frame fit pump.
Wish I had more of those rims when they were cheap. 700c that is.
Are they all the same? the ones i have look different than the ones advertised as tubeless...ie 3 decals rather than one on each side of the rim. Different model? They dont say tubeless on them.
Both the guys at my lbs took a look and independently said they looked a bit shallow for tubeless. Kind of keen they dont pop off the rim mid corner...
Mine have 1 decal on each side. Well 2, but the other is the wheelbuilder's decal. Doesn't say tubeless. I don't know of other non-tubeless ready variants of the rim. That would be a bit odd/misleading.
Different era. Mine have 3 decals but a replacement to a bent one came with 2.
Been bomb proof.
Sell some more cheap.
are they the same rim thought other than the decals?
