Comparing the dropouts on the RC529 and Moxie, the former look like a well engineered solution to avoid axle movement, whereas the Moxie looks to have traditional two-bolt fastening. Do either suffer from axle movement in the real world or are both fine? Is the Pace system superior?
I’ve got a Moxie and the axle hasn’t budged since setting and forgetting the dropouts
I've got an RC627 and an ALICE and neither have moved. Wouldn't say either was better or worse than the other.
RC129 here. It's never moved. Very solid.
RC529 here. Never had a problem with moving dropouts
Alice and Sirius here, no problems with either
I did replace the original bolts with some tougher steel, although I hadn't had problems with the former
Got a 529, and whilst I can't work out why one side has a threaded hole for the 'horizontal' bolt, and the other is blanked and the bolt pushes the dropout backwards, they haven't shifted at all.
