Does anyone know the seatpost measurement please on a Pace RC627? I have one that I bought new from Pace in Sept 2020.

I have one and its stated to be 31.6 on the website, in the online manual and on various 3rd party sites dating back to 2018 to now. I received a 210mm One Up V2 31.6 seatpost a while back as a gift, which I've just gone to fit this afternoon. To my horror it seems too big and although the old post I've pulled out is a bit scuffed, I think I can make out a zero in the sizing, indicating the old post might be 30.9.

I can't get hold of Pace but could it be that they've made a mistake on their website and all literature on the bike?

Unlikely pace have got it wrong everywhere. A quick Google suggests 31.6. might need to open the clamp a little.

Can you get some calipers to measure the seatpost you removed?

Thanks for taking a look. I’ve just stuck a vernier gauge on there and it does read 30.9. Unless I’m being thick it’s not looking like good news

I think I have the 2019 version, 31.6 mm still.

Thanks All,

Mine was bought new in 2020 (purple bruiser) so I guess that means it’s a 2020 or 2019. The post I’ve pulled out is 30.9. Therefore assuming the frame is 31.6 - am I likely to have ruined it if I’ve run a smaller diameter post?

It's only .7mm it'll be fine. Some seatposts come up small/large anyway.

I'd be tempted to pop the one you took out back in and not worry.

Is the old post a snug fit? A 30.9 post in a 31.6 seatube would be noticeable.

Is there a shim in there?

Measured the width of the cut out at the top of the frame and looks like its smaller that the top than the bottom, so looks like I must have over tightened the clamp when I originally got the frame. Managed to get it back to normal size by levering it with a smaller post - seems to have done the trick as the new post fits now.

Thanks all for the help, was worried I'd end up having to buy a new post!
