It's getting to that time of year, puffer hanging on the horizon like the proverbial dark cloud.....

Anyway, my hands are sorted thanks to my pogies, no worries there. But as to the tootsies - I have two pais of five10 elements, and my walking boots if it's right bad, but I'm also thinking that a pair of overshoes for over the flat shoes wouldn't be a bad idea.

So, any idea what will fit over a pair of 10.5 five10s? I use the cheap neoprene planetx ones over my commuting SPDs, and I'll probably buy those unless anyone can recommend anything better.

Cheers,

Greg.

Surely any overshoes you fit will get shredded to pieces by the pedal spikes ?

Absolutely, but 20 quid is a price worth paying for me for dry, warm feet @ puffer!. Something to think about too is overshoes that have a big opening below, meaning less of the neoprene/whatever will be ripped to buggery.

I already do that ES, but that's inside the shoe, I'd rather start the puffer defence outside the shoe!.

Anything neoprene. Id say velcro over zips.

Regardless of what you use, forget how it was designed ot be fixed, use duct tape.
