I'm working out of area offices next week and have an overnight stop off in Norwich next Wednesday (travelling from Colchester to Norwich), meaning that I'll miss my regular night ride.
Is there anywhere nearby where I could get a night ride in, don't mind riding on my own if navigation is reasonably easy, and seeing as my normal night riding venue is Sherwood Pines and I live in the alpine like wonderland which is Lincoln, I am fully prepared for a total lack of elevation change!

That way, but not there, otherwise that would be a goer!

Straight down the A11 to Thetford head to visitors centre 3 loops all marked out. Pan flat but fast & loads of singletrack plus it's a pine forest so stays pretty dry all yr round
oh yeah the car park at centre will be closed so just park on the road and ride down.

I was thinking about Thetford, is there anywhere nearby to park up and ride in? FC website says gates closed at 6pm.

edit, question answered above while I was typing, thanks 🙂

Fun can be had in Mousehold Heath - and it's not flat! Pretty much in the city centre.

Whenever I am over that way with work, I park at Brandon Country Park, cross the road then you are almost straight onto the Thetford trails. Not dissimilar to Pines to be fair but good fun for a night ride and right near the main road to get back into Norwich

Go on the Bury/Brandon Rd and park down the FR signposted to Mayday Bird Hide. Then ride back to the road cross it to join the fire road opposite. Look on the left about 100yds along and you'll pick up the old black route.

This is a version of the urban loop we do in Norwich. Not sure it's the most fun or complete version, but it would give you something to ride. Pop into Steeetlife Cycles on Nelson Street and they may be able to hook you up with some riding buddies. I'd be up for a ride on Thursday night if you're still about then?

Thanks for the offer bol (and for the map link) but will be back home on Thursday (don't think MrsMomo would appreciate me staying away for another night, and the boss wouldn't pay for it either!)

Going to meet up with an old uni housemate for a ride around Thetford on the wednesday, so get to kill 2 birds with 1 stone, ride my bike and have a catch up with a friend.

Or you could head out Sheringham way for a nose bleed (it's got hills and stuff).
