You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Our league is being brought into line with most other this coming season. So now we will have a seniors race and a vets/women/juniors race. The latter being only 40 minutes long.
What race do you enter, as you can still enter the seniors race if you wish.
Out of interest, do the over 40s vets race with the women/juniors?
I don't see a problem with them all racing together, makes the whole event shorter for the organisers. Do elite riders moan that there are too many 'slow' riders?

They will as of this season i.e V40/V50/Women/Juniors. Previously when it was one race the fields often exceeded 100 riders. Gridding took a lifetime.
And on average about three vets would be in the top ten.
Probably fair enough with fields of that size.
Really don't like this change. I race in the London League and it's rarely a problem even if there are 100 riders. Gridding hasn't been a problem either, only take 5 minutes. If it goes like the Eastern Region then we might only race for 35 minutes! I ain't travelling all over the SE to pi$$ about like that. BUT, if you want to race National Trophy and get gridded then you have no choice as I don't think you'll get national ranking points if you still race with the seniors.
Besides all this I really like to see how I do against everyone, young and old. I'm not ready for the old folks home just now thanks.
