I'm moving house and the bikes are not allowed in. 6 bikes and total replaceable value is 8k.
I'm worried.
Two wooden sheds with 3 bikes in each and two good chain and padlocks, fastened through a D lock in a bucket of set cement per bike. Movement sensor alarm in each shed?
Anything else I can do?
Any recommendations as to which chains and padlocks?
It's a nice area but bike thefts in the area are rife.
They'll be insured but I'd rather not lose them in the first place.
Have a look at Almax for chains and padlocks - http://www.almax-security-chains.co.uk - not cheap, but serious stuff. They're nice folk too if you want to ask any questions.
There are also some shed-specific security things that bold onto the inside of the shed erm, these which might be worth a look.
Cheers Jon. I saw you on Sunday at Ladybower. I said "Hi".....you didn't. It's OK 🙂
Take them apart. (Front and rear wheel)
That way they are no longer bikes.
They are bike parts 😉
Sorry fella, I was having a preoccupied sort of ride which started out as Cut Gate out and back from the front door and metamorphosed into a sort of 88k, 1800m of climbing meander home. I'd probably have ridden straight past a line of can-can dancing, topless nuns without batting an eyelid... 🙂
You had a 'look' on your face and a manic half grin, chasing down a large group of riders who you'd just held the gate open for.
I liked it 🙂
Haha... the funny thing about that was that I was trying to get my head in 24-hour solo mode by not chasing people. It obviously worked really well. Ooops... 🙂
