Really like the look of the Ridgeback Radium road they have in LBS, but they also have a Scott S55 that will do the trick (both road bike style that will take mudguards and rear rack) for commuting and the odd tour.
I was initially taken by the ridgeback, but the Scott is way cheaper and has a triple chainset, the ridgeback on the other hand has a compact double with external BB. The ridgeback wheels have shimano hubs as opposed to 'no name' scott hubs and an extra 4 spokes that 'may' help for touring.
Both bikes are 8 speed which puts me off a bit, seems a bit 'old fashioned' but they're both 2011 models, however I'll probably upgrade in time anyway.
Any thoughts?
