Holidaying between Oswestry and Shrewsbury for the week. Need recommendations for 2 different rides, both on MTBs:
1) <10mile family bike ride (toddlers on front mounted bike seats), picnic stop and good views essential (was going to do Llandegla blue, but would prefer something closer)
2) A 2hr ish night ride/explore solo
Ideas appreciated!

Can't comment on the family ride but I'd head for Eastridge for the solo ride. Park at the Snailbeach car park and use Trailforks to hunt for the trails.
Theres some rides around Nesscliffe if you are staying near there, theres also plenty of riding over the hills from Oswestry to the Berwyns/Glyn Ceiriog/Llangollan or from Shrewsbury end, theres also Eastridge, Long Mynd etc
