Me and my gf fancy doing one of these type events, the sort like in the link below. are there any others that are worth looking into. She did find a night ride one that looked interesting a while back but i cant find that one now.

That series has night events the day before the big ones.
I would have recommended the North Pennine MTB Marathon, but the b'stard land agents have set the land access fees so high and restrict number of riders as to force it to be cancelled.

Builth Wells this weekend for the Exposure Lights big night out on Saturday, 40 or 25mm and then the Scott marathon on Sunday, 25, 50 or 65km.

There's a few I know of up north (beyond even craig24's comprehensive list of Yorkshire events - thanks for that) but I won't bother listing them if you're only looking in the south west.
@northwind I'd be interested in what else you know about up North particularly if there in a similar area! I know of all the ones Craig has listed.
