Morning!  Trying to get a couple of tracks from my phone onto my Oregon.

What folder format/names do I need to store it in so the Oregon will pick them up?

Foudn some hints about other Garmin devices, so I've tried Garmin\NewFiles  and Garmin\GPX as folder structures on the SD card, with a tester GPX file in each. It's not showing up in Track Manager, and I can't find a way of selecting SD card storage anywhere.

Is there a solution?

Cheers!

They should go in Garmin\GPX.

Are they stored as Tracks or Routes though? If the latter you'll have to look for them as Routes.

I just put maps and nothing else on the SD card.

As Colin says, GPX tracks go in Garmin/GPX which is where any ride you record gets put as well with the name "Track-<timestamp>.gpx. Note that it doesn't matter what you call the GPX "file" it appears in the track manager with the value of trk->name from the file contents (might be metadata->name, forget ATM).

Normally I'd do the same, but I'm doing a long ride after work and planned to transfer the route to the unit via USB as per normal, but work laptop is locked down for file transfer.

Emailed the files from work email to hotmail, downloaded from hotmail to phone, swapped over SD cards, created necessary folders and saved GPX files to a place where I can access them on the Garmin.  Bob's yer Dad. Eventually.

An unnecessary faff, unless it's necessary!
