Hi, I am after a coil shock and bike discount have them on offer but I am not sure how much tax etc will get added on.
Anyone any experience? I would be spending around £300.

Assuming it's all done properly, then orders below £135 they should add tax at their end and it will arrive in the post as normal. Orders >£135 they won't add the tax and it'll be paid via the courier. Unless they offer an expedited service where you pay the tax upfront to the courier (or to the shop who pass it on).
You'll theoretically pay 14% (on bike parts I think) 20% vat on goods, duty and shipping, plus a handling fee from the carrier.
The 14% may or may not be right for a few reasons - (a) I might be completely wrong. (b) the origin of the parts (which is probably not the EU) can make a difference, especially if its got things like a steel spring on it.
You may get away with not paying a penny. But that's unlikely.
Bought some stuff from them a few weeks back that came to about £280, paid £73 duty and fees.
when do you need it?
i'm coming back to the UK around Sept./Oct time.
I'll second Alpin's offer, I'm driving back on Saturday.
Budget 30% for the vat, duty and courier fees. You might get lucky but it's rare now.
Don't forget that you'll pay local VAT instead.
Why not buy it on C2W? Big saving and you’d be supporting an LBS.
