I'm cursed with a love for bright, colourful bikes, but also very little taste or restraint, so for Orbea to be offering custom paint jobs is frankly irresponsible.

By copying some classic paintschemes, and incorporating my family's frankly tenuous Italian links I think I've come up with some relatively tasteful paint schemes.

Would these look at home on the road and on the CX course? Bear in mind they'll have some Challenge Limus tan wall tyres on them with extra Italian flag logos!

In fairness, I think they are all pretty tasteful...

Orange for me please. But without that white bit, and darker blue stickers

Nice, but too restrained for my liking!

Like it, can't tell if I prefer it to the original though

Bubblegum nightmare, but get the lettering in green.

A definite improvement! Wonder if the tan wall tyres would be a step too far though...

In fairness, I think they are all pretty horrific…

Thank you! That was the sort of response I was expecting, had been getting worried for a minute.

How does the Azzuri look with orange instead of white stickers?

Have you seen those colour blind tests that electrical folk have to do?... ha.
I like the orange one best ,but with the baby blue logo. 🙂

Can you not add some abhorrent bartape for extra rankness?  The bubblegum one is horrific! (by that i mean great)

Hmm... confusing and non-conformist, it scares me!

Think I might have to, the paint jobs alone aren't generating enough revulsion!

Do they come stock with the slammed stem?

No tartan/plaid option? #poor

Even if they did they have a 600mm stack measurement in a size large, that's pretty damn tall!

Just no!

This:

(Also acceptable with logo in white instead of jade)

I don't think an Italian flag on a Spanish bike is permissible. On the other hand, that's the only one of your colour choices that isn't awful 😉

Let's be honest OP,the only thing that scares you is the attention that your squealing brakes attract >big smiley face<

I'd go full Sky Blue with Metallic Orange decals and maybe replace the bar tape/saddle with white.

Gulf Colours.

Yeah but I'm getting therapy for that, one day I shall embrace the demented screech of a wet rotor...

Gulf Colours.

Pretty cool, but Gulf colours (what is that, F1?) are meaningless to me, I need to *connect* with the paint scheme, deep down.

Orange and blue is too Rabobank. Orange obviously works with the Basque connection, as does red/green/white:

Taste is for idiots.

Go with whichever one makes you smile the most!

(I like the pink ones)

Le Mans.

Is the custom paint option extra? If so I’d save the money, go with a standard colour, then have a custom painter really go to town.

Taste is subjective, it’s only ‘for idiots‘* when you don’t like the same colour as do the majority of idiots*

*Requires objective definition🤪

@13thfloormonk

🤣. Paradoxically the first one makes more sense in context. I’m going with that.

Don't think so, you can use the MyO configurator on their website for a few of their higher specced bikes. I've spent a bit of time musing on the colours for a Rallon.

Try yellow lettering on the pink.

I think I’ve come up with some relatively tasteful paint schemes

I'm not yet seeing any evidence to back up this claim 😉

If you like it then that's what matters, there's literally no point asking for opinions on colour schemes from other people unless you're buying a bike to please them instead of you, and even then you'll only please some of them, so be selfish and get what you like!

The other thing to consider is what kit you wear. My road bike is blue and it's a PITA because it clashes with most of my road kit which is black (fine), red (not really) or green (definitely not fine).

White toptube bit definitely doesn't work nor does the random seat tube colour. Toptube bit matching front of fork is a no-brainer.

I'd go for the Irn Bru one - as long as it's not made from girders...
