Hi all,

Im after some help with a bit of an issue with my Orbea wild.

Basically I bought a wild new in may and have covered around 186 miles on it (Not a lot I know)

The rear end started to develop so side to side play and after doing a bit of investigation I discovered a load of play in most of the rear end bearings.

I contacted the shop I bought it from (not going to name them) who spoke with Orbea and they agreed to send out some new bearings for me to fit.

In anticipation of this I started pressing the bearings out of the frame and had no issues until the drive side axle bearing which just wouldn't move, in my haste I kept pressing it out and it has damaged the chainstay due to having a circlip fitted over the bearing which I didn't see. Totally my fault for not checking.

I contacted the shop a couple of weeks ago now saying as much and asked them if the could contact Orbea and see how much replacement parts would be. The email was sent to Orbea on the 23rd August and despite chasing the shop a couple of times Ive heard nothing in nearly two weeks.

I emailed the shop this morning and had a generic reply saying they would chase Orbea again but it feels like its going nowhere fast so would like to contact Orbea direct ?

The only issue is that any time you fill in a contact us form on the Orbea site it says contact your local shop.

So Im a bit stuck really.

Can anyone help at all.

Thanks

Steve

If you get no joy, I've found that a shop called Brilliant Bikes have been excellent in getting answers from Orbea and sourcing weird parts.

I'm now re-testing how good my earlier recommendation was...just snapped one of my shock bolts...

They have it in stock, at least, but that's the weekend plans buggered.
