Any Orange Five owners on here who have replaced the bushings on their RP23 shock ?
I need the full set (bushing and top hats) for both ends (ram and aircan)
Found the right page on mojo website but dont know which size to order as i dont have a digital caliper.
What size do i need ?
Its a 2010/11 frame
Also should i get the standard type or the low friction type ?

Rob
22mm M8 both ends
I'd get some sort of heavy duty one for the lower

Or TF tuned do a similar one
Top / front one doesn't really matter has it hardly moves.
Andy.
+1 to ^^^^. Bang on
Give Simon at Loco a call. He serviced my shock recently and fitted new bushes and top hats.
Awesome. Thanks will call up tomorrow.
Just looking at the shock again, do you think its also worth replacing the 'axle' (the bit the bolts screw into) too ?
If it was me I'd look at going with off set bushes to slacken it a degree or so found on my 2012 one it made a world of difference to my five.

Code 7002 in the pull down menu.

No.
Batman - what differce does the the slacker head angle make?
Is it noticible when climbing or on the flat ?
Does the kit come with the top hat parts ?as this is also worn (internal) on my current bushings.
You will also make the BB lower and seat tube slacker with the bushes..
Basically it will be a bit more stable down hill / going quick and feel a bit wandery on the climbs.
Also will mean the seat tubes gets closer to the tire when the shock fully compresses. (I'd assume there is still enough room on a five)
Yes it will come with the top hat parts as these are what have the offset hole in. The bush that lines the shock is the same.
Tempted. 44 quid is alot for 2 holes !! 😀
Haha, that is the main reason why I didn't bother with my five!. If you are happy with it as it was I'd save the money.
Fair few people saying the offset bushes wear quicker as well.
Pretty much what bigdrew said but to be fair I'm a big unit so not quick up hills so I didn't notice any difference to speak of. But then the fun stuff the five was a much different machine quick and stable and the cornering was head and shoulders better. This of cause was for me
Alternatively you can get both Offset and standard shock hardware from Offset Bushings. £20 for a pair with free UK postage there!
Are you allowed to say that, not exactly non connected are we?
You can get some from Offsetbushings.com. They machine regular ones as well as offset ones and they cost £10 each which makes them cheaper than a lot of the others. I've had a few pairs off of Jeron over the years.
Great price and great customer service.
