Hi all...
I was just wondering if anybody be able to tell me if I should be worried about this on my 2016 five... after my brother s who has the same bike recently cracked his bike in the same place... I thought I would check mine as soon as it came back from a service and I've noticed a very thin type mark in this area... it doesn't look like a typical crack but I'm, not an alloy expert so I couldn't say but I know these bikes are known to have faults on this part of the bike... I've done my best to upload clear pics of the offending damage... any help is appreciated cheers

Your pics are shite, but it certainly looks like it could be a crack in the HAZ, any chance of a better pic?.
It’s an orange......
They do crack there. Orange Riders group on Facebook is a bastion of expertise on crack analysis and warranty claims.
off to orange with your cap in hand for a new frame please....
Seen a few like that on the Orange riders Facebook page. Regularly check my Four to make sure it hasn’t gone the same way.
Good luck. Let us know how you get on.
Seemed to be a problem 2016/18 mainly and some talk it’s because they went to cheaper aluminium after the take over. Meant to be sorted now though.
I can't tell from those pictures.
Is the frame helitaped? It could be dirt under the tape.
Can you upload better pictures?
