As above really... does anyone know what year they became a bit slacker (2010? 2011?) and got a proper (30.9mm) seat tube for dropper posts?
Cheers
Dave
2011 they got the 30.9 seat tube and a tapered head tube.
Not sure about frame angles though as I only bought mine this year and it is a 2011 model.

Geo got slacker in 2009 (they also revised cable routing and added Reynolds TT)
Geo stayed same (I think) for 2011 but changed to 30.9 post and tapered HT.
Cheers all. That gives me something to work with 🙂
Why do people think 30.9 is a proper size? For years 27.2 was the norm....and gravity dropper do a post in that size, or is it what you mean is "make a seatpost to fit a cheap dropper"??
No, I have a Joplin and will probably get a Reverb. So running a frame with a 27.2mm seat tube is about as useful as a smack in the face.
I can't be wrong either as loads of manufacturers are all doing the same.
The kinked toptube was introduced in '07.
The '08 and '09 geometry was the same according to hearsay from Orange (I heard it while working for a distributor in the trade), although what's 'officially' published does differ. The '08 was certainly the first with a fork limit of 160mm as opposed to 140mm.
The geometry *apparently* got slacker still in '09 and is has remained similar until today, with only minor tweaks.
In a nutshell what this means is the '07 and '08 are better singletrack bikes, and from '09 on they handle better when you might really want a downhill rig. 😉
