You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Been keeping bike in back of truck (back seats fold up) in the hope of a sneaky end (once middle) of work day ride... so far been to FOD twice, Mendip once and cheeky romp round Haldon.
Any other crafty opportunistic riders out there?
Tomorrows ride around the Trossachs with fellow outdoor learning development officer from local authority should be nearly as good as last weeks boat round the Clyde Walkway and New Lanark (with permission to ride some sensitive paths 😉 ) All in the name of "researching new venues for next years courses"...
I also managed a good few rides in Moray and Inverness while away from home, and a few rides poached in Borders, Galloway and Aviemore on the way home from days out...
Mind, the wet evening round Moray Monster Trails is best forgotten...
I can't wait for Highland to confirm that booking for Skye, Fort William, Inverness, Thurso and Uig in May next year. 😆
Not quite the same, but I always keep my skateboard in the back of the car as you never know when you'll pass a skatepark! Many a cheeky session has been had this way!
I sometimes take my bike and the rest of my kit in the back of the car going to work, so if it's an awrite day I can leave early for a ride on the way home.
Rather more similar than twohats, I always keep a unicycle (or two) in the back of my car so I can get in a sneaky ride wherever I go.
Frequently. Actively develop customers near certain locations, that one near Surrey Hills means I'm there most weeks. So if you should see a brewery van parked up, I'm working 🙂
The next time one of those "what's the point of a van?" threads pop up, link to this.
My bikes been in the van all week and I've had some great evening rides
Used to do it regularly. Only reason I set wheels on the South Downs Way!
Just to go better than that I've taken a windsurfer in the car with me on work trips.
Had bike in car for a few days and Tonight, met a mate at Swinley and a great ride and then had car broken into. I am not bitter, no no noooooooo

Does being paid for years to sail, canoe and kayak count? I did have to take a group of small child and teen shaped objects with me mind...
Just out of interest what did you think of Haldon as I am more local to FOD and ironically enough have yet to sample FOD.
I book my technical training in the SW so I can do Haldon / go for a cheeky surf / Dartmoor riding or bouldering. They pay for my hotel, food and the hire car (large estate please!).
Win / Win.
Most of my riding is opportunistic, due to a flexible work schedule, young family and the changeable nature of British summer weather in the north of England.
In fact, **** it, I'm going riding now...
Are you sure about that now, I mean are you a stwer or not 😆
Freelance and based in Calderdale, so I down tools whenever the sun comes out, deadlines permitting. For me it's the whole point of being self-employed.
I regularly sneak a ride into my lunch "hours".
