After someone saying my new flux build was a bit logotastic, and after often thnking myself the american classic wheels could do with toning down a bit, can you offer your opinions? on the front wheel I have covered with electrical tape to see what it looks like before i get the hair dryer to the labels and peel them off.
I still cant decide, and I actually thnk it might be the nobby nic logos that actually annoy me and not the rim logos
so Gok Wans of STW, logos or no logos? opinions please?
And yes I know....
who cares, just get it built and ride the damn thing
Stop being such a hairdresser
responses are fully expected
tape over the tyre logos at the back and post another pic?
[edit] I can't believe you put little bits of paper under your workstand to protect the garage floor!
too much time on hands.
Fancy coming to Edinburgh and sorting my garage out...

garage floor paint is crap, you just need to look at it and it chips!, theres 3 bare patches underneath each of those feet, just stopping it getting any worse. 🙂
Like i said. Get on a train...
Take them off, it's all weight in the wrong place, think of the inertia! 😀
You got wood . . .
i say with...
The rims might look like cheap shiite without logos.
Strut with logos like a peacock with a lob on.
Loving how you've filed your kindling 😉
Anyway, logos gotta go
.....dude 😐I can't believe you put little bits of paper under your workstand to protect the garage floor!
hey whats the poster on the garage door? eairly 90's rave flyer?
A tidy shed/workshop is the sign of an inactive mind
I'm not a fan of rim stickers (less-is-more) and pulled the stickers off my flows...bought a pair of American Classic tubeless (dem below) with the intention of doing the same, but it looks to me like they're under a layer of lacquer. I could be wrong, though. Are you sure they're peel-able? Mind you, all that said, now they're on they look pretty good, I have to say! Probably only works cos of the white frame. I also have Nobby Nics on mine and there's no way to get the tyre and wheel logos aligned, so it's a bit of a dogs dinner in that respect.the american classic wheels could do with toning down a bit...before i get the hair dryer to the labels and peel them off.
edit: and plastering their brand name all over the hubs is a chuffing DISGRACE! 😀
do you have a sticker with your name on it? if not nowt wrong with it 😀
I'm amazed there isn't one little splinter from all that wood on the floor!

ive been trying to work out how you could mistake a rag with my front mech, pedals, chain in a bowl, screwdriver and allen key on it for a poster but then i realised you said door and not floor. its just some instructions for the door or something, like a door needs instructions. but funnily enough i do have loads of 90s rave flyers in the loft, perhaps i should decorate my garage door? whistle possee anyone?
I'm amazed there isn't one little splinter from all that wood on the floor!
all the splinters, saw dust etc gets wrapped up into little newspaper packages like fish and chips and stuck on the fire, they burn pretty well and last longer than you would think.
I am going to stop posting pictures of my bike in my garage, it causes too much distraction!! 😀
EDIT: i dont stick fish and chips on the fire.
Why do you need two hand axes?
*suspicious*
I'd get rid of all the red ano rather than the wheel stickers, if you want a more low-key looking bike.
I say off.
Going to do the same with Arch EX stickers
boy I bet you've changed since your rave days 🙄 😆
the bikes cool mate! should have got a raw one though 😛
Road/Track? Labels off
MTB/anything else? Labels on
That is the rule.
dinged up all of the labels on my crossrides... so the labels had to go. better none than shabby ones.
yeah fair enough, THOSE are garish as hell.
All mine are older mavic rims (and a synchros which is a bit more labelly) and they only have little labels.
Having explored the idea of pulling the labels off some Crest rims, I came to the conclusion that they're integral to the strength of NoTubes rims. I'd keep 'em on, they seem to hold the join in place
I'd take most of the stickers off, just leaving one set of logos which you can then line the tyre up with.

No it's not, track needs the stickers on expecialy if they're njs certified rims.
op what the hell is wrong with you
🙄
nothing thanks I am fine, whats wrong with you?
Remove decals and drill valve holes for proper tubes
Oh.. and ditch the workstand and turn the bike upside down for maintenance.

I think he may be trying to say you appear to put the A in anal.
just jealous of my tidy garage huh? You should see the other side of it 😆
You've either got to go full on lairy or subtle, no half measures.

NJS is always stamped isn't it? Never seen an NJS sticker before, and would feel it was a bit suspect no?
Kindling really needs a tidy its all over the place, lots of neatening up needed!
OP - Whatever you think is the right thing, just do that.
For what it's worth, if you have a decent set of wheels, why not tell folk...I leave em on.

Because they'll probably find you boring.

I meant by leaving the stickers on (the way they were meant to be)...
But you knew that anyway. 😉
I was going to leave the stickers on my Arch EX until I'd built the bike up, but took them off as soon as the Conti X-Kings were on. Shouty red and white with shouty orange and white? eurr..
On, and then gradually off after a few years.
Rim logos off, they're white noise, they spoil the look of your bike, they'll soon look crap anyway, and you're not paid to advertise someone else's product so don't do it if you have the choice

Nah. It's how, not what, you ride that people will use to form any meaningful opinion.
Nice looking bike BTW. Good job.
Nice build. The only thing I'd lose is the red fork decals, I'm not a fan of red tho.
so rim stickers are staying, as i think they may be under a layer of laquer anyway. Fork logos staying too, but may end up getting some 120mm forks later on.
heres is finished:
