Just been sent a swear warning from the mods for my feeble attempt at a joke on the Sick! thread. I see the thread is now closed.

My sincere apologies if I have offended anyone and for maybe causing the closure of said thread that many of you seem to have been enjoying.

Yours apologetically.

Is that the reason the thread has closed? Why couldn’t your bad word be edited out?

I suspect it was closed becasue it took an unpleasant turn with people digging up people's Linkedin pages and the like.

Sick deserve criticism for how they run their business, but that sort of personal stuff seems out of order to me, even if it is public domian. (And yes, Sick have been out of order on social media a lot too)

Hmmm.

Quite.

I suspect it was closed becasue it took an unpleasant turn with people digging up people’s Linkedin pages and the like.

Then delete the offending posts

But now the thread will vanish into obscurity. All aboard the (repaired) hype train!. The insta is already asking folk what they want in the next drop of frames...

Don’t worry, the next thread will be forthcoming if/when the **** up again.

I’m going for the closure being a spineless STW move as they seem happy to support Sick even with the apparent issues. I’ve never seen STW do a review like the recent PB Enve one

A thread with a title like this, authored by a 'Jordan', could work as the replacement, surely?

It’ll be me that broke it then. Soz! I only got involved cos Sick seem like fair game with their hunger for exposure.

Will be interesting to see if a reason is given. TBF to them, Drac and Cougar tend to be quite good at giving brief reasons for closures when it's their doing

You're welcome to use it for such purposes if you desire. I just think it's missing something...

I spotted the thread, the Sick! Thread and watched it grow.. didn’t read any of it until today when it got shut down.

Took me a whole hour to read every post and I too came to this conclusion...

“brings back memories of when this forum was a busy place...”

🤷‍♂️

It was just getting interesting. I've never actually looked into the people running the company or what their backgrounds are. I had no idea Jordan was a producer for Channel 4.

It's only fair that anyone googling for reviews or opinions about Sick bicycles should know who they're dealing with.

LinkedIn profiles are a conscious decision to market yourself in the public domain.

They are also a professional profile rather than a public one. If folk were searching for him on FB that’s be a different matter. This is no different to looking up who runs Trek/Giant/Specialized

Mile Sinyard isn't a software developer in Palo Alto. He's 100% dedicated to making his bike company a success.

His company also make some t-shirts, as it happens.

Huh? Is that Chaos geezer selling us on what he does on a weekend with his kids or on his established skills and business acumen in creating t-shirts. And bikes.
