Long story short, bought a set of Manitou Mattoc from CRC fitted them, all good. Then noticed they'd actually sent me 26" not 27.5". Now I've checked all the clearances and I'm fairly confident even if it bottoms out it isn't going to buzz the tyre. And if I'm being honest I've not managed to bottom a fork in 20+ years anyway! That being said I have seen a video on you tube where you can actually change the internals to give extra clearance for 27.5" can I find the spares to do it anywhere? Can I flip, so does anyone know who the distributor is for Manitou in the UK?
You should've received a conversion kit in the box (usage: https://forums.mtbr.com/shocks-suspension/manitou-mattoc-899836-25.html#post13191659 ), try contacting Manitou directly...

Hotlines are the UK distributors for Manitou.
The clearance for tyres is in the fork lower legs and is really about how high the bridge is.
Changing travel doesn't affect clearance.
Unless you think the tyre might hit the frame on bottom out.
Thats my point, I don't think it will, the gap between the tyre and the fork crown is greater than the available travel on the forks, the conversion kit extends the inners by 25mm to give the extra 25mm clearance but this is in the form of a bottom out protection rather than increasing the travel. I just can't find them anywhere!
If CRC sent the wrong ones I'd contact them and see what they can do.
