obviously some sort of race been run today as i went from rochdale to halifax i met 50 or so riders coming from halifax and descending off road to gain the PBW near littleborough golf club.
some real issues to consider for the organisers and riders.. visibility was less than 10m it was raining and foggy many riders ( all that i saw) where wearing no protective clothing from the weather and no riders ( that i saw) had any sort of lighting riders were being directed stright off the bridleway onto and along an A road. i had to stop in my van to let one lad out onto the road.
yes there were marshalls but when they wave riders out into the road into the oncoming traffic ..
