I'don't love some and have been following them since they first came about. But I can't afford that. Sick to death of putting up with 510s

Just ordered some. I'm fed up of constantly getting stones in my shoes and for them taking a week to dry out every time I go near a puddle.

I was ready to push the button despite that big white heel and price, not available for big feet though.

Even for a man who spent 100E on an enduro BumBag, 220E is just too rich for my blood.

Hopefully they'll come down in price...

I guess you could argue that you're getting two pairs of shoes (or one and half). I wonder if it will be sold in modules?

Looks like they've thought of everything there. Except looks and cost

They don't look too bad in the flesh, the white heel is quite bright though! Also they are quite slimline and don't feel like you are wearing boxing gloves on your feet.

But keep in mind you get more or less 2 pair of shoes. A waterproof winter and breathable summer.

Haven't managed to get out for a ride in them yet but the fit like a glove and feel quite supportive.

My Pair have just arrived, looking forward to wearing them out on a ride.

Already some experience? I fearing about following

- how they fit. Ok - that I could test myself and send back in case not satisfied
- Maybe annoying how to get into the inner shoe, as it is like a sock?
- Even the outer shoe is washable it seems to be mesh. And by my experience any mesh get dirty easily and just washing mesh down would not really clean it
- BUT MOST IMPORTANT for me - does the winter insert provide enough insulation? First of all I am looking for a pair of winter shoes.

But they'll only last as long as 1 pair of shoes unless they are offering to sell just the outer as a spareable item

The inner is more like a wet suit boot than a sock, easy enough to get in and out if you loosen the laces right off. The winter boot is fleece lined an looks like it will be reasonably warm.

The outer has quite a rough texture but looks very durable, a wash down with a hose should clean them up nicely. The sole feels fairly stiff, i like the look of the extra grip at the toe and heel.

Thx longmover - sounds not bad. But still going to wait for some real experiences when it is getting cold.

I have finally got out on the bike in them, I had the fleece liner in them but wish i had the summer liner in as my feet got too hot.

Fit is very good forgot they were on, the D3O in the sole of the boot helps kep the stiff and protective yet not clog like when off the bike. with the fleece liner protection from the elements was good, went through some big puddles, a ford and sprinkling of rain and my feet stayed dry.

Grip is good, not silly amounts but a good balance with Deity Decoy pedals, didn't slip a pedal during the ride.

The outers appear hard wearing and too a couple of brushes against rocks with no marks to show for it. I particularly like the low profile feel of the shoe.

They don't look as bad in the flesh as they do in the promo photos, they actually look quite nice and were well received by the people I rode with.

Downsides, my main gripe with them is that they are a bugger to get on, because of the fit they are quite tight and the ankle cuff does not provide quite enough stretch to easily get you heel through.

I wonder if these are any easier to get on if you put the inner on your foot first then slip into the shoe? I tried a pair on and was in danger of aggravating my lower back pain, seriously though, they were really hard to pull on (should help keep water out) and I assume they know it so have made the tabs really strong, I hope!.
I obviously didn't buy because I was on,y really checking them out and thought the white heel looked too much, but like all white trainers, they'll tone down in days. They're really growing in me now, kind of look my my Adidas NMD's and why not have something that looks modern co pared to 5-10's.
I forget how long it take's my Five10's to dry out, especially if it's a 3 day outing and maybe camping. Hopefully as they get going, each part will be replaceable.

I think I've just talked myself into an early Xmas pressie!

I rode with mine a few weeks ago in the pouring rain. I had the summer inners and they still stayed pretty dry for about an hour, at which point everything became waterlogged (not just my shoes). They dried out in a day.

They are comfortable and the relatively thin sole helps keep your ankle closer to the pedal which is very important imo. I have wide feet and had to size up, but did not have too much difficulty getting into them.

Grip is as mentioned above, not as sticky as stealth but enough that my feet didn't slip, and the tread on the toe means you don't skate around when walking in mud.

I'm pretty pleased so far, but will have to wait to see how durable they are.

They could look a little less "JD footwear".

About time someone brought out a winter flat, I'm not paying that though.

I bought some the other day, I just think the concept is great, they're nice and low profile and lightweight too. Yes, they are a bugger to get on, but hopefully that means they seal really well. I was getting cramp trying to pull them on, but after a few goes, it eases up and a 30cm shoe horn makes it an absolute doddle.

It wasn't crazy wet when I rode in them, but I did go through plenty of big puddles with the winter liner to see how it faired and I had dry socks at the end of the ride. It wasn't raining so I guess when it's heavy rain, it's going to get down through the socks, but with merino socks and the sort of neoprene liner, I reckon they'll be wet and warm, we'll see. I gave them a rinse off in the sink and the tough, thin outer shell didn't really let any water in. The tongue isn't gaitored, so water will likely get in there, maybe they needed a loose tongue to be able to get the liners in or maybe it just made too much bulk. They must've had so many ideas, but some design restraints, like do you make the winter liner thicker by coming inwards or do you make the summer liner with more bulk?

Grip is fine, not really any different to my Five ten spitfires, footbed seems supportive enough. I've even taken to the white mass on the heel and it only took one ride for it to get stained with either shimano crank paint or oil, so it defo tones down.

I really like them, I don't have massive legs so Hellcats and the like look like blocks on my feet, the only major downside is my schoolboy error of buying them too small. My feet are just about a cm different in length and 4mm width wise. Biggest foot, depending in time of day (foot swell) is 250-255mm, I usually take a UK size 7 in shoes and Nikes, and a 7.5 in Adidas. I tried a ONW size 260 first, gave up on that pretty quickly, so tried the 270 which is recommended for 255-264mm feet, approx a U.K. 8 . Tried it with both liners and my thick merino socks, mid afternoon, they felt great. Unfortunately, rode that night, winter liner and thick merino sock and 10 mins into an XC loop, my biggest foot went totally numb, like my toes were being crushed up. I wore them for my commute yesterday, same thing, left foot is fine, right foot numb and crushed. I should add they're fine for grip and flex walking streets, not good for gripping on the damp wood when climbing over styles with a bike overhead, foot gave way and let's just say I was very pleased I was wearing a chamois liner in my shorts! Only golf spikes would've gripped on that stuff.

I've not tried the equivalent of a size 9 (remember I'm usually a 7), maybe that would help, but I can't help but think it's not so much length, it's the toe box that needs a bit more volume. I was actually sitting on the train last night, they had the floor heaters blasting out serious heat, so I sat there with my foot on it for 20 mins, rode home afterwards and it felt better, still not right though. I've emailed OWN to see if I could heat them, maybe put shoe trees in, I've even thought about getting a small football and using the core to inflate the shoe across the toe box or filling a bag a water and sticking it in the shoe in a freezer. Otherwise I'll have to take a hit and try and sell them.

So if anyone is thinking about buying some, try 'em with summer and winter socks, put plenty of force on your balls (of feet) and remember when your mum took you to the Clarks shop? Yep, wiggle those toes.

Here's a pic i juxtapositioned against of pint of the black and white stuff.
