And that 12 year old food critic from the USA on the BBC news this morning.
Don't get me wrong, smacking a child is not right but!

And anyway he should be told how to eat proper like before he criticises.

Mastiles - that's pretty insensitive. I suppose if it had been your wife/mother/father/daughter/son etc that burned horribly to death, or was seen jumping from a blazing window 300m up rather than burn horribly to death, you might have a little more empathy for why people in NY were a little spooked by the incident.

How do you know that he wasn't critisising the organisers ?

"While federal authorities took the proper steps to notify state and local authorities in New York and New Jersey, it's clear that the mission created confusion and disruption,"

Then

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg said he was "furious" about the incident, criticising those responsible for failing to warn the public.

Someones telling porkies

Can understand the people still being spooked. There are still some Lockerbie residents nervous at the sound of the military jets screaming through the area. I do believe they(jets)have to give Lockerbie a wide berth still. Been quite busy in the skies the past few weeks and they can give ordinary people a fright when they scream overhead then hit the booster and head skywards. Also been some "dog fighting" involving 4/6 planes. That is an awesome sight

Precicely - I couldn't believe how damn stupid the organisers were for doing the stunt just so they could get some pictures of Airforce One in front of some famous landmarks. Not in any way was I critisising the people of NY or Manhattan.

And that 12 yr old... I couldn't even watch it - I had to switch over when he was on!

I agree, holding his fork like that - quite appalling.

Ah, yes, good point about where the original criticism was directed. Apologies if that was indeed your point Mastilies.

*shambles off to get his coat.....*

Actually - NYC Mayor doesn't control airspace (that's the feds, man) so there was no need to inform him at all. And even if the feds did tell NYC city, the fault in communicating it to Bloomie - if it even should have been communicated to him - could well be within his own organization.
